The Real Beginning — A Midnight Train and Two Laptops

The idea sparked on a sleeper coach leaving Bengaluru. One of our lead engineers tried to rest on the top berth while his backpack — holding two irreplaceable work laptops — sat under the lower seat.

Every squeal of the brakes jolted him awake, imagining the bag gone, the code gone, and no alert until it was too late.

At 3:00 a.m., somewhere past a lonely railway junction, he muttered:

“I need something that shouts before my stuff walks away.”

By dawn, that anxiety had transformed into a plan — build a pocket-sized guardian that rings, buzzes, and pings the instant precious gear moves too far.

That restless night launched Tragify — first as an alert system, and soon after, a full-fledged smart tracker.
